An evening of smoothies and pilates

10/02/2017

I’ve just recently discovered Pilates and it is slowly growing on me. I’m usually doing weights and the odd intense fitness class at the gym but I’ve been wanting to incorporate something calmer and Pilates is just perfect. On Wednesday I was invited to an evening of Pilates, nutrition and smoothie making at OXO tower hosted by John Lewis. We started off listening to Hayley from The Nutrition Coach and she explained the benefits of smoothies and juices. Did you know…

Selfies and Shoreditch

16/01/2017

Good afternoon friends! Hope you’ve had a good start to the week 🙂 Completely forgot to post about my Saturday. My day was super relaxing and I watched a ridiculous amount of episodes of Modern Family and meal prepped for the next few days. In the evening I got ready in slow motion (had a lot of time on my hands) and ended up looking like this:Hair in loose waves and simple makeup with a little extra on the eyes! I…

Winter Wonderland is a classic tourist attraction during december. It opens from 10am and closes late and is usually absolutely packed. You can go ice skating, see shows, drink/eat, play games, go on rides and shop. On Monday me, G and his nieces went to Hyde Park and strolled around for hours. I am super happy I wrapped up warm cause despite the blue skies and sunshine it was windy! Also.. when you’re walking around for hours, it makes you…

Swedish Lucia

11/12/2016

Lucia is one of my fave swedish traditions and as usual, no one really knows exactly why it is celebrated. Here’s one of the many explanations: Lucia comes from stories that were told by monks who first brought Christianity to Sweden. St Lucia was a young christian girl who was killed for her faith in 304. The most common story is that she would secretly bring food to the persecuted Christians in Rome, who lived in hiding in the catacombs under the…

Julmarknad på Alsters Herrgård

27/11/2016

Translation: Christmas market at Alsters Manor My family home is just outside the “centre” and we’ve got a lovely manor nearby which hosts a christmas market every year. Since the sun was shining we decided to take the short walk down and get in the christmas spirits! They’ve got stalls selling locally produced food, plants, local artists selling their handmade items and there’s obviously glögg (mulled wine) as well.Secret route through the woods  The beautiful manor where there’s a café…

After lots of cuddling and playing around I met up with Nicole and G at Blueberry bar in Shoreditch to see 3 Shots of Tequila Live. 3 Shots is originally a podcast (currently on 500.000+ listens) and the boys talk about everything from relationships, mental health and religion to personal crazy stories. Growing up in a small swedish town most of these crazy stories sounds like a movie to me.. It’s like I’ve lived in a bubble. Same with…
