Sweat in the city with Adanola

Last September I went to a random house party in Williamsburg, NYC, and bumped into two guys from Manchester. We started talking and they explained they were in NYC to promote Adanola, their own brand. Since then I’ve followed “Sweat in the city” and Adanola and the boys are doing great things!
Yesterday morning I went to their first London event that was being held on a rooftop in Clerkenwell. I met up with the lovely Kara and we popped our bags down and enjoyed the sun.The event was hosted by Alice (Clean Eating Alice) and she had put together a really good 45 min workout.
It consisted of 3 different circuits for core, upper body and lower body and had it not been so damn windy we would’ve been sweating, haha. After the workout we popped over to the protein shake bar by She Supps. I had a super delicious vanilla shake and Kara had a strawberry shake which she said was just like a McDonalds one, haha!Cheers!I’m wearing fabletics leggins and sports top. Leather jacket from All SaintsMe, Hyrum, Alice and Josh!Adanola clothes! Really like the track suit and lounge wear they have, and obviously all the workout clothes too. Just look at these outfits:

Love all of it!
After the event me and Kara went to the local pret and chatted about travel plans and life. It’s funny how you can meet someone for the very first time but still have so much to talk about!Thank you Adanola for a great event and to Kara for being an awesome workout partner!

My weekend in pictures

My weekend was filled of food and friends, my absolute favourite things!
I woke up quite early on Saturday even though I slept late. Didn’t feel like going to the gym but wanted to work out so decided to do some pilates! I used the pilates mat I got from this event and had Lottie show me what to do on youtube 🙂
After my 30 min workout I decided to do a facemask (L’Oreal Detox Mask) and get ready to meet G.
bynoelle-my-weekend-in-picturesWe popped by Deptford food market and had churros and tapioca – yum!We went for a stroll and walked all the way back to his area where we decided to have an impromptu shoot at the local playground, haha. Pics coming up soon!I travelled home in the early evening, bought snacks and met Mikaela. We prepared some drinks and snacks whilst waiting for the third swede – Emelie! We sat in my living room chatting for hours before getting an uber to Shoreditch.
The initial plan was to go to a Supa Dupa Fly event at Ace Hotel but the queue was absolutely insane so we walked over to The Redchurch Bar. It’s not the nicest of places but the music was good (imagine JT, Christina Milian and Ja Rule..) and my company even better!bynoelle-my-weekend-in-pictures-redchurch(Pics from Mikaela)
Hannah from work joined us when things got crazy at the bar, people were dancing everywhere! It was fun for the girls to meet Hannah though as I’ve talked so much about her – and vice versa 🙂

The next day I woke up super late (I’m not even going to say what time), got ready and took the bus to Shoreditch and Hoxton grill. I was meeting Mikaela, Emelie and Nadia for brunch!Brunch turned into Sunday Roast for most of us..bynoelle-my-weekend-in-pictures-hoxton-grill-sunday-roastYUM YUM YUM! I really liked the roast (I had lamb) and so did the others. Emelie had a salad which seemed nice but didn’t fill her up quite as much as ours did.
Then I was able to convince the girls to have dessert.. bynoelle-my-weekend-in-pictures-hoxton-grill-dessertThe Swedish crew 🙂Carrot cake – super yum.Baked Cheesecake. Mmmmh.Apple cake with cinnamon ice cream, nom nom.
Yes, I’ve been to Hoxton Grill a number of times in the last month or so but the service seem to go down each time – very disappointing as I really want to like the place!

Uniform: long black coat, oversized scarf and sneakers or black boots.
Me and Emelie wandered around Shoreditch after and I was later joined by G when Emelie left. Me and G met up with Nam and Luis and went to Shoreditch House to see Ama Lou perform.
We then sat in the restaurant catching up over mac n cheese and juices.
That was my entire weekend and I now feel like I need a weekend to recover from my weekend. You get me?!
How was your weekend and what did you get up to? 🙂

Supa dupa fly at Boxpark Croydon

Happy friday everyone!

This week has been an emotional rollercoaster for myself but it’s also been productive, which is obviously good.
Yesterday after work I literally forced myself to the gym and I am so glad I did as it was Obi’s very last ZUU class! Gutted he’s not doing it anymore as I wanted to get back into the routine of doing ZUU.
Anyway, we had a great class, I got to scream and sweat (I wrote about ZUU here) and felt super good after.Top from Fabletics, leggings from Gina Tricot

During the day my colleague Shannon had mentioned that Supa Dupa Fly was hosting an event at Boxpark Croydon in the evening and I said I would think about it. As previously said, I’m a granny and rarely go out on weekdays nor am I particularly spontaneous. I got home from the gym, showered and thought f*ck it, I’m gonna go out.

The journey to Croydon felt like a lifetime and I had no idea it would take so long, or that the walk from West Croydon to East Croydon takes 15 minutes?!
I reached Boxpark and met the girls inside Box Bar.We ended up dancing to old and new hiphop till closing and treated ourselves to a burger after, haha.I had such a fun evening and I’m even more excited for our girls night on Saturday as we’re going to yet another Supa Dupa Fly event, this time at Ace Hotel!

A fancy evening at Coq d’Argent

On Thursday it was finally time for the annual start of season party with work. I organised the entire event with Laura, the events manager at Coq d’Argent and had the best time doing so. From the many tasting sessions to last minute changes and countless of emails, she was there and was super helpful.
I got ready at the gym and walked over to Coq d’Argent just after 5pm and was met by staff running around setting everything up. It looked absolutely beautiful. Laura was quick to give me a glass of bubbly which was highly appreciated, haha.Doesn’t it look stunning?
Minimal table settings but very elegant. The reception/lounge area where we had bubbly and canapes.
Colleagues started to pour in and soon the place was filled by elegantly dressed women and very handsome men.Ivo made sketches of as many as he possibly could!Canapes were being served and pictures taken!Me and my beautiful colleague Hannah (both wearing Missguided)We ate this: (pictures from our tasting session)London oak salmon (with condiments)
Créme Dubarry (cauliflower velouté, poached egg, truffle and croutons) – the cauliflower dish was my absolute fave. If they made it into a main I’d seriously have it twice.Wild mushrooms, salsify, carrots and chestnuts
Beef Wellington
Both served with buttery mash and greens
I had the beef wellington (well done) and it was absolutely delicious. My colleagues couldn’t agree more! And for dessert we had an apple 🙂 Or that is what I wrote on the menu to everyone. I really wanted to surprise people a little bit by having this “Apple Parfait” instead of a classic Creme Brulee or Apple Crumble, you know? This is ice cream covered in green coloured white chocolate with a ball of sorbet inside. So fun and so delicious!
During dinner our magician Mitch walked around and literally blew peoples minds away. He showed me a brand new trick which I am still trying to understand but obviously can’t!He popped my card inside the deck of cards, places the coin on top with a piece of paper, put fire on the paper and SOMEHOW THE COIN BURNED THROUGH THE DECK, DOWN TO MY CARD? Insane. My “I’m not at all impressed.. I am actually pissed off for not understanding the trick” faceThen things went downhill.Ugh.Sher, Hannah and me 🙂Clare got me a super pretty cocktail! I believe we told the bartender to make us something yummy, haha.We also had a photobooth from Planned2Perfection! The lady taking care of it could’ve been a bit more friendly but other than we were happy with the pictures.

I can’t thank Laura and the team at Coq d’Argent enough for the high standard of service and help planning everything. I had several emails waiting for me the next morning complimenting the food, service, entertainment and staff. Thank you!!

An evening of smoothies and pilates

I’ve just recently discovered Pilates and it is slowly growing on me. I’m usually doing weights and the odd intense fitness class at the gym but I’ve been wanting to incorporate something calmer and Pilates is just perfect.
On Wednesday I was invited to an evening of Pilates, nutrition and smoothie making at OXO tower hosted by John Lewis. We started off listening to Hayley from The Nutrition Coach and she explained the benefits of smoothies and juices. Did you know that the optimum time to drink your smoothie or juice is within two hours of making it? Alternatively fill up a bottle as much as possible, so little air is left, and store in the fridge and consume within 24 hours.

After the talk we popped in to the kitchen, teamed up and made our own smoothies!  I was teamed up with the super lovely Lottie (health, fitness and lifestyle blogger) and Monica (lifestyle blogger) 🙂We made a green smoothie with pineapple, manuka honey (lots of it!), coconut water, coconut oil, maca powder, spirulina powder, whey protein powder and spinach.Blogger life.. 😉  Lottie decided to add a banana in to the mix.. Haha! Look at that pretty green colour! Our green smoothies with berries on top!Yay!
Unfortuntaley we had to wait till after our pilates class to drink it…  We earlier learnt that in order to really benefit from a protein smoothie you have to work really hard – otherwise the extra protein will just stay in your body and be stored as fat.. and we don’t want that! So with that being said, Lottie worked us really hard with an amazing pilates class! Class picture!

Thank you so much John Lewis for inviting me to this wonderful event 🙂
