Room service and goodbyes

04/10/2016

My last day in NYC was an even more emotional one than the night before. We both woke up slightly hungover and room service came to drop off our breakfast we had cleverly ordered whilst drunk. Eggs florentine and tater tots. After having breakfast and getting ready I met up with Daniel, a friend from London living in New York for lunch and when I came back I packed my things and got ready to say goodbye to Katie. Saying…

Sixty Hotel Lower East Side

02/10/2016

My girl Katie booked this amazing hotel to finish her NYC trip with a bang and I was invited to stay for my last two nights – lucky girl or what?! The room was equipped with two double beds, tv, massive shower, wardrobe and everything else you might need but the best part was probably the pool! Let’s have a little look. Didn’t I say it was amazing? The pool is probably the most instagram-friendly pool of all time, haha.…

Nostalgic lunch and mum’s wonderful food

23/06/2016

On our last day in Karlstad we started with breakfast as usual. The plate below was my first one.. I had waffles with Nutella after, nom nom. After breakfast we hung out in the room and went for a walk. For lunch we went to Wayne’s coffee shop – a cafe I went to pleeeenty of times when I was young, and I always ate this particular pasta salad. Can’t believe they still have it there!!   After lunch we bought…

First Hotel River C in Karlstad, Sweden

21/06/2016

On Sunday we checked in to First Hotel River C, a four star hotel a short walk from the city centre. We were first given a room on the 5th floor with a mini window (website says all rooms offer canal or river views.. nope!) but our wifi didn’t work. Since we’re wifi addicts I went down to reception to complain and were given a room on 6th floor with river views (yay!) instead and the wifi worked perfectly. The…

Our Airbnb apartment in Copenhagen

21/05/2016

80% of the holidays me and G have been on we have rented an apartment. It is usually cheaper than a hotel and you get to immerse yourself in a (usually) non touristy area. We tend to buy breakfast items at a local shop and spend money on lunch/dinners out. Our apartment in Copenhagen was on the 3rd floor of a big apartment building and filled with light. Big windows, white walls, wooden floors – basically a dream. It was literally…

Early drinks

09/05/2016

I was meant to meet Tom to have tea and a photoshop lesson on Saturday morning. Well. Being the bad role model that he is we ended up having cocktails at Dean Street Townhouse and eventually at The Edition Hotel (Berners Tavern).  We also had a quick little shoot to test out his new 85mm lens, which was obviously awesome.  Quick walk to the Edition! Look at the beautiful ceiling!I had a drink that was meant to be “scandinavian”.. Not sure if I…

Hoxton Hotel / Shoreditch, London

11/04/2016

So.. To treat my boyfriend (and myself included, hehe) I booked one night at Hoxton Hotel in Shoreditch, east London. I booked via their own website and check in on the day was super simple. The interior in the reception area/lounge is super cool and it is basically made for hipsters and entrepreneurs, all working away on their macs. Our room was small but absolutely enough. It was clean, decor was spot on and the bed super comfy! On the…

Vietnam / Flying to Côn Đảo

30/03/2016

On to my favourite part of my Vietnam holiday; Côn Đảo Islands. Côn Đảo Islands are an archipelago in the south east of Vietnam and contains of about 16 islands and islets. I’m genuinely not scared of flying but there’s just something about those smaller planes, haha. Flying from Ho Chi Minh City to Côn Đảo takes just under an hour and flights are quite cheap.  Cargo in front.. Well that’s new.  Smallest airport I’ve ever been to.. We got picked up…
