Copenhagen | Pizza at Mother

26/09/2017

After our wonderful boat trip we said goodbye to Ulrika’s friend and walked to Kødbyen (meatpacking district) and searched high and low for pizza. We ended up at Mother which was absolutely buzzing with people, ordered a bottle of wine and waited for our seats. Mother restaurant is an Italian restaurant “without all the nonsense”. They source ingredients from Italy and cooks their pizza in their own wood fired oven. We shared a lovely bruschetta with porcini mushrooms, ricotta and…

Copenhagen | Go Boat!

26/09/2017

When I came across Go Boat Cph online I immediately messaged Emelie (third flatmate) and said “THIS is what I want to book for Alana’s birthday!”. She quickly agreed and I booked it. Initially it was only meant to be for me and Alana, but my Swedish friend Ulrika and her friend Angelica took the train over from Malmö (in Sweden) and joined us! 🙂 The more the merrier. Go Boat is a wonderful, eco-friendly company that rents out their…

25/09/2017

It’s been a while since my last recipe, hasn’t it?! Yesterday I made this wonderful half-warm salad and it was surprisingly yummy. Let’s go through the very easy steps: Ingredients: Kale Olive oil Sea Salt (the flaky kind!) Tomatoes Cucumber Halloumi Wholewheat couscous Start by washing the kale and remove the thicker stems. Place the kale on a tray, dribble olive oil all over it and sprinkle salt. Pop the kale in the oven on 200 degrees (gas mark 5-6)…

Copenhagen | Sightseeing and lunch at Torvehallerne

24/09/2017

Our day started with breakfast at home. We fried some eggs, toasted bread and I introduced Alana to danish chocolate on toast. Very delicious! After breakfast we got ready and took the bus into the city. Our first stop was Amalienborg, the home of the Danish royal family! We were not alone.. Afterwards we walked to Nyhavn which is probably the most photographed place in Copenhagen. Cutest tourist! We then, quite literally, stumbled across Torvehallere which is a indoor food market!…

Copenhagen | Our airbnb, quick visit to my aunt and dinner at Kiin Kiin Bao Bao

19/09/2017

Copenhagen! What a wonderful weekend we’ve had. Very very sad to be back, haha. We left work early on Thursday to go to Stansted Airport. Our flight was delayed and the wing we were in (where most Ryanair flights depart from) was the most disorganised and confusing thing ever. We landed in Copenhagen quite late and got to our airbnb in Hvidovre (just outside of Copenhagen) at midnight. We met our airbnb host and he showed us around our humble…

Alana’s birthday!

14/09/2017

Yesterday was Alana’s birthday and we celebrated her by going to the London Cocktail Club in Monument – one of my fave places near work. They do a pretty good deal on weekdays. 2 for 1 cocktails between 5pm and 7pm! I gave Alana mine and Emelie’s gift in the morning. A pug pillow and a boat ride in Copenhagen! For the evening I got her some cupcakes because why not?! Tahni’s gift is lying underneath. We got cocktail after cocktail…

New in: Skincare and haircare

13/09/2017

I just bought a couple of new things for my skin and hair so I thought I’d share it with you! First up.. having short hair isn’t as easy as I had hoped it would be.. I use a lot more heat nowadays so definitely need more heat protectant products. I use this serum when I’m keeping my hair straight and shiny. I add a tiny bit into my hands and run it through my hair I use this spray…
