Tempesst and Saint Agnes by London on the inside

16/08/2016

After the diesel event we went to our next destination: dalston roof park! I had never been so was excited to see what the fuzz was about. Tom’s good friends are behind the website London On The Inside and they, together with Cherry Cola and Hackney Wonderland had an event with Tempesst and Saint Agnes. The rooftop felt cozy and relaxed, music was good and it wasn’t too busy to start with. We got some drinks and listened to Saint Agnes…

100 Wardour Street

13/08/2016

After the Fentimans event we strutted down to 100 Wardour street, a new restaurant with live entertainment in Soho. I remember seeing some snaps from a couple of friends months ago and hadn’t been able to forget about it! I decided to book the restaurant on a Wednesday because that’s when they have Motown music 🙂 We sat down and ordered the set menu which is £30 for a 3-course meal with a bubbly drink. God I love a good deal. During…

Fentimans summer jungle takeover at Lights of Soho

12/08/2016

A lot of people seem to think I get invited to events all the time when in reality I just happen to know people who gets invites to events.. And I tag along. It’s that simple. On Wednesday me and a few friends went to Fentimans takeover at Lights of Soho, a members club in Soho that right now has a pop up bar on the ground floor. Up-and-coming

12/08/2016

On Monday I went to see Johnny, written by Kwame Augustine and directed by Darren Oderine. Pulse writes “The play is a dark comedy set in 21st century London, a take on modern society, a changing society. The play will challenge individuals preconceived ideas on mental health, race, gender, class and sexuality”I’m normally not into plays but this had me laugh, squirm and tear up. Kwame is a seriously good actor and I have no doubt this is only the beginning of…

Another birthday celebration

11/08/2016

Because I’m not from London and don’t have any family here (except the bf and his family of course) I love it and find it genuinely nice when someone invites me to their family home. On Sunday I went to North London for a massive birthday celebration of my friends dad. Nigerian food, speeches, bouncy castle, music and lots of adorable kids running around.  Thank you Jr!! 🙂…

Rooftop celebrations and swedish cake

09/08/2016

On Saturday I was invited to a rooftop birthday celebration in South London. Earlier in the week Amira, the hostess, had asked if anyone could bake and I said “yaaassss girl, I’ll make a little something” and so I did. After my haircut with Nadia I popped by the swedish shop to buy some ingredients. I made a traditional swedish strawberry cake that has one layer of vanilla cream, another layer of jam and fresh strawberries and it is then…

M stands for Marvellous

09/08/2016

On friday last week my colleague invited a few of us out for a fancy friday lunch at M restaurant on threadneedle walk in the city. I had been once before and knew it would be good from entering. We ordered a bottle of red (Malbec) to share and a few starters and eventually mains. The menu is divided into Raw and Grill (sushi and grilled fish/steak) and we decided to stick to grill. Half had the Sea Bream which…
